UK tax and payroll rates your agent can trust.
Sourced, date-aware UK tax and payroll rates, deadlines and business checks. Every answer cites its official source (GOV.UK, Companies House or HMRC) and the dates it applies, so an agent doesn't have to guess last year's threshold.

How it works
Ask
Your agent calls an MCP tool or an HTTP endpoint with a rule key and, optionally, a date.
Pay your way
Send an API key from a monthly subscription, or pay per call with x402: no account, no sign-up. Failed calls aren't charged (4xx, 5xx and MCP tool errors).
Get a sourced answer
The value in force on that date, its effective dates, the official source link and when we last verified it.
What's covered
Number next to each topic is its count of rules. Rules include past and upcoming versions, so you can ask what applied on a given date.
UK business checks
Companies House live
Search a company by name for free, then run one sourced check: status, registered office, SIC codes, accounts and confirmation statement overdue (and by how many days), the late filing penalty band, insolvency and charges flags, officers and PSCs. Each section links to its source.
From $0.02 per check. Not a credit check, sanctions or PEP screening.
VAT check coming soon
VAT check: coming soon. We are waiting for HMRC production access.
Connect via MCP
The server speaks MCP over Streamable HTTP at https://ukrules.dailylifeelevation.workers.dev/mcp. The free tools (list_topics, search_rules, search_uk_company) work with no key. Paid tools are get_rate, get_rate_history, list_deadlines and check_uk_business.
Claude Desktop
Add to claude_desktop_config.json (needs Node.js; mcp-remote bridges to a remote server). Or use Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector and paste the URL.

Point any MCP client that supports remote servers at the endpoint.
Transport: Streamable HTTP Endpoint: https://ukrules.dailylifeelevation.workers.dev/mcp Header: Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY (optional) Auth: none needed for free tools; paid tools need an API key or an x402 payment
Paying from MCP
- API key: replace
YOUR_API_KEYwith a key from pricing. The client sends it as anAuthorization: Bearerheader on every call. - x402, no account: leave the header out. A paid tool returns a result with
_meta["x402/error"]saying what to pay ($0.005 per call, $0.02 for a business check, USDC on eip155:8453). An x402-aware client signs the payment and retries with it in_meta["x402/payment"]. The Cloudflare Agents SDK'swithX402Client(fromagents/x402) does this for you. - You are only charged when the call succeeds (failed calls aren't charged). An invalid or cancelled key gets a 401 error. A valid key that has used its monthly calls gets the x402 offer instead, so an agent can still pay per call.
Pricing
Pay per call
x402, no account. $0.02 per business check.
Developer
10,000 paid calls a month. A business check counts as 2.
Pro
100,000 paid calls a month. A business check counts as 2.
Subscriptions are billed in GBP; pay-per-call uses USDC (US dollars) via x402. A business check counts as 2 calls, so Developer covers up to 5,000 checks and Pro up to 50,000.
Why you can rely on it
Official sources
Every rule and deadline cites its official source (GOV.UK, Companies House or HMRC), with the effective dates and the day we last verified it.
Daily change monitoring
Sources are checked on a rolling daily schedule; every source is checked at least every two days.
Human review
A change only raises a flag. Nothing updates a rate automatically: a person reviews it first.
Information only, not tax or legal advice. Verify with the source.
