## Endpoints

Free (no key, no payment):
- GET https://ukrules.dailylifeelevation.workers.dev/v1/topics : rule topics with the number of rules in each
- GET https://ukrules.dailylifeelevation.workers.dev/v1/company/search?q=NAME : up to 10 UK companies matching a name (Companies House)

Paid:
- GET https://ukrules.dailylifeelevation.workers.dev/v1/rate?key=KEY&date=YYYY-MM-DD&jurisdiction=UK : the value in force for a rule key on a date (default today, Europe/London). Returns value, unit, applies_from/applies_to, source_url, last_verified.
- GET https://ukrules.dailylifeelevation.workers.dev/v1/deadlines?from_date=&to_date= : tax and payroll deadlines with the next due date

## Access and pricing

A paid call goes through with either:
1. an API key with calls left this month: send "Authorization: Bearer <key>" or "x-api-key: <key>". Plans: Developer £19/month for 10,000 calls, Pro £49/month for 100,000 calls. A business check counts as 2 calls, so Developer covers up to 5,000 checks. Subscriptions are billed in GBP; pay-per-call uses USDC (US dollars) via x402. 2. an x402 payment (no account needed): $0.005 USDC per call, $0.02 for a business check. Without payment the server answers HTTP 402 with a PAYMENT-REQUIRED header; sign the payment and retry with a PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header. Over MCP, paid tools return a result with _meta["x402/error"]; retry with the payment in _meta["x402/payment"].

Failed calls aren't charged (4xx, 5xx and MCP tool errors). An unknown, malformed or cancelled API key gets HTTP 401 ("invalid API key"); it does not fall back to x402. Only a valid key that has used its monthly calls gets the 402 x402 offer, with a message that the plan limit is reached.
